Orientation Fun

Day three. It's still pretty here. The weather is perfect. I actually almost broke a sweat today sitting in the sun, but not quite. Then the wind blows, and it's cool. We ride with the windows down everywhere we go. P.S. Our car is a Honda Accord named Timmy. Yep, we named him.

Yesterday and today we had orientation. One thing that Kevin and Alicia (the former senior pastor of the Potter's House), Jamie, and Joey (the youth minister) stressed was that the Potter's House is here to provide a safe place for people to come and feel loved. They want to build relationships with people and earn their trust by caring about their lives. I loved when Alicia talked about in Matthew 9 when Jesus went to Matthew's house with all the tax collectors and just visited with them. He had a heart for the lost. That's what Potter's House wants to mirror. Alicia said that we were created to share the love of Jesus with the lost--that's why we weren't taken into Heaven the day we accepted Christ. We have a job to do.

Today we also took the love language test and a personality test. We (Morganne, Robin, Jamie, and I) were all physical touch and quality time, so that's good. We won't get on each others nerves with cuddling :) Then we took a personality test and I am evidentally a beaver and a little golden retriever. Bah. You figure it out.

Oh yeah, and last night we played Manhunt around Westbank with the youth. Me and Robin were together at a station marking the kids' hands, so we got to talk a little bit and listen to music. When that was over we went into Kelowna for a Walmart run and then a snack at Denny's. My first time there, yep.

Tonight we are eating dinner with a bunch of the family's from the church, and then we are potting plants to get ready for Love Westside. I'll explain that later when I know more about it. Oh, and we heard the new VBS songs yesterday and I am super pumped about that. Right now, we are just chillin' at Jamie's watching Gilmore Girls until we start dinner. I'll put pictures up soon... we went to a nut farm today. Get excited :)
